You've helped plan my Kenya trip and been with me through the paperwork, vaccines, and packing. We
felt completely at ease walking around the African bush with our
Samburu guide, who could read every broken twig, dropped scat, and
embedded pawprint left by passing fauna. He oozed a sort of lanky,
manly assuredness. No matter that the guy was wearing a red-and-white
dress and had a feather poking out of his forehead. It was a good
lesson for my boys, who at ages 13 and 15 are negotiating the complex
route to manhood. As our guide looked for game, his feather blew in the
breeze.
Baby
elephants are cute. Schoolkids in uniform are even cuter. Put the two
together and you've gone over the edge in adorable. Here, at the David
Sheldrick Wildlife Orphanage outside Nairobi, orphaned animals are
lovingly cared for, and when ready, introduced back into the wild.All photos by Norie Quintos

Wow this is an awesome post. It really makes me want to do some more travling. Your slide show is awesome. I love the photos of all the Africans jumping together. I've been to South Africa but never on a Sarari. How fun. Thanks for sharing! - Peter
