Crossing state lines this holiday weekend? If you're planning to set off a fireworks display of your own making, then be sure to
check out the laws regulating firework usage in each state.
The National Council on Fireworks Safety reported that 9,800 people were injured using fireworks in 2007, so please don't become a statistic. We all know that fireworks can be dangerous, so be smart and
use the proper techniques to keep yourself safe. Have a fantastic fourth!
How do you feel about consumer fireworks?Map: Sarah Aldrich
It's a bit different as we are in Canada, but I think as long as it's safe and nobody is being bothered, what's the harm? I do think a lot of injuries could be avoided, I'm not sure how that could be regulated. Fireworks make for a great celebration, as long as you're careful!
This is really cool information. I guess I know what states that I don't want to live in.
The ones that pop, smell, make a mess, and are generally annoying are legal in Kentucky
If we want the good ones that people enjoy, we have to go across the bridge in Indiana.
Funny that we have one of the largest fireworks shows in the nation but we can't set them off or buy them in our own state.
