  • Hawaii's oldest ukulele factory offers free tours, but in case you're not heading to Hawaii anytime soon, check out the Los Angeles Times's audio slideshow about the factory.

  • Through July 25, Grand Teton National Park is hosting a music festival. Performances will take place Tuesdays-Fridays at the Colter Bay Visitor Center, Jackson Lake Lodge, and the Craig Thomas Discovery and Visitor Center.

  • Lord of the Rings fans in New Zealand should be on the lookout for director Guillermo del Toro, who is currently scouting for The Hobbit filming locations around the country. Filming of the much-anticipated prequel is scheduled to being in March. Said del Toro of New Zealand, "When I arrived, I had a sense of arriving to an absolutely unique place and everyday here confirms in my mind that this country is unspoiled by so many things."
