The beloved postcard has gone digital. A few months ago, we wrote about
Hazel Mail, which allows you to upload photos from your computer to be sent as postcards back home. Well, now it seems there's an app for that as well. Our friends over at
Matador Travel introduced us to goPostal, an
application for your iPhone or iPod Touch which lets you to snap a photo and send it as a paper postcard with a personalized message attached. The 4x6 postcard can be delivered to any U.S. address for just $1.29 per card, including postage. We can't help but think it's perfect for the tweaks on classic postcard images (holding up the tower in Pisa, for example). But I have to admit that it dispatches with one of my favorite aspects of postcard culture: foreign stamps.
What's your take?

Great idea and I love photo sharing apps for iPhone in general, but a HUGE part of dropping a post card in the mail is ensuring your recipient gets a foreign stamp and maybe a cool post mark out of it. Have to pass on this one.
I usually write my postcards on the flight home and mail them in the US (shameful no doubt), so I'm thinking this ap might be a keeper.
This sounds neat. I like the concept- app that takes your photo and orders a postcard.
One drawback for me, is that you won't get the cool international stamp- but it would work for trips in the US.
I don't know....it sounds pretty cool to me.
Not only a personal message but a personal photo as well. I think you could have a lot of fun with this.
My nieces and nephews don't have email. In fact, neither does my dad. I'm going to try it.
For me it’s a part of iphone revolutions. This phone has rocked the world now it’s is another enhancement in it.

Love your line "there's an app for that as well." Someone's watching too much TV!!!
And, yes, I want that app. Wait, first I need an iPhone. I guess you could use it on the iTouch if you used photos you'd already downloaded, but the Touch doesn't have a camera.
