- In other swine news: The Pygmy Hog Conservation Programme (PHCP) believes the world's smallest pig is thriving once again. The pygmy hogs, which stand just ten inches high and weigh only six pounds (how cute!), were captured in 1996 and re-released into a wildlife sanctuary in Assam, India, in 2008. With help of a camera-trap (above), scientists can see how the pigs react to their new habitat.
- See a bit of U.S. history in Australia. A collection of pens used by George Washington are on loan to Canberra's Museum of Australian Democracy, which opened this weekend.
- The League of American Bicyclists just declared Washington and Wisconsin the most bike-friendly states (Oregon, Maine, and Minnesota were also among the top five).
- Your ear, my dear: A team of German historians think they know the real reason why Van Gogh cut off his ear. And no, it's not how you learned it in school.
- AirTran just became the next airline to jump on the Wi-Fi bandwagon.
