- A Florida utility and real estate company are teaming up to build the country's first solar-powered city. The project would cost $2 billion and would aim to build six million square feet of office and retail space, in addition to 19,500 houses.

- In February we brought you news about D.C.'s Bike Share program. Arlington--one of the District's neighboring counties--just introduced a similar "trike share" initiative, which offers Arlington employees tricycles as an eco-alternative to commuting short distances in their cars.
