- Zimride and Zipcar have joined forces to bring together car sharing and ride sharing. According to Jaunted, "[it will] allow Zipcar members getting a car to broadcast the time, date, and final destination of their trip - and also a estimated price per rider. Zimride's software then takes care of matching ready riders to the members." The program launched at Stanford earlier this week.
- Now through April 27, Alaska Airlines is offering 30% off its tickets from select airports. Each day, the airline will chose one airport that will offer the deal.
- Gogo Inflight is offering 20% off internet use on Delta flights through April 30.
- Folks in London and Stratford-upon-Avon are celebrating Shakespeare's birthday this week. Celebrations will include a free open day at the Globe Theatre.
- No golf in Brooklyn? Think again. The Putting Lot is asking for submissions to design a miniature nine-hole golf course in an empty lot in Bushwick. Entries will be accepted through April 27.
