Photographer: Luigi Guarino, Italy
Getting the Shot: "This photo was taken in Merida, Mexico, which is located on the Yucatan peninsula."
The Details: "I liked the colorfully dressed people walking past the pastel-colored building."
We Love: How somehow, the iconic Beatles Abbey Road cover seems translated into a Mexican setting.

Merida was an unexpected highlight on our roadtrip around the Yucatan two yeas ago. We stayed an extra day, actually. It's a small, metropolitan city and the architecture, heavily influenced by French colonial, is stunning. Of course, the food and the people were wonderful. This photograph brings happy memories.
Merida is an uner-rated city. Lots of artsy individuals there. A lot fo creativity. Quite a few hotels have great interior designs.
Beautiful photo -- love the Abbey Road link!
Wow! The blue and white color with the intricate design is looking gorgeous and especially the man with the orange t-shirt is like a jewel in the crown. I would like to travel to Mexico.
