Oregon Truffle Festival
Eugene, Oregon
January 30-February 1
Events include cooking demonstrations, truffle tastings, and seminars on the truffle industry during the delicacy's peak this weekend.

Napa Valley Mustard Festival
Napa Valley
January 31-March 28
Wine, music, and art festival when the mustard plant is in full bloom.

Chocolate Festival
Anaconda, Montana
February 6-7
Even the town's name won't scare us away from free chocolate.

Carolina Chocolate Festival
Morehead City, North Carolina
February 6-9
Eat (and bathe in) some of the region's finest chocolate.
Chocolate Lover's Festival
Fairfax City, Virginia
February 7-8
Historic re-enactments, tastings, and a Chocolate Challenge judged by Food Network star Warren Brown.

Virginia Wine Showcase
Chantilly, Virginia

40 local vineyards showcase their best.

Delray Garlic Festival
Delray Beach, Florida
February 13-15
Give your sweetie garlic for Valentine's Day instead! Festival includes "Garlic University" for kids, competitions, cook-offs, and more.

Restaurant Week
Washington, D.C.
February 16-22
Some 180 restaurants in the D.C. area will offer a three-course, fixe-price menu for $20.09 (lunch) and $35.09 (dinner). Book reservations early.

Dungeness Crab Week
San Francisco, California
February 19-March 1
Forty-four San Francisco chefs are showcasing their best crab recipes at the end of February. Check the website for the full list of restaurants, and reserve online at www.opentable.com.

I especially like the sound of those chocolate festivals :D

nice list! i'm surprised our "crab week" in san francisco is so late in the year--i think the season (at least for local crabs) has already closed.
