Every year, the geek in me tries to
sneak in a post about
The Lord of the Rings, and, with only a few hours left of 2008, I have managed to make this year's quota.
Treehugger recently reported that a
hotel in Stavoren, Holland, is fashioned out of old 3,800-gallon (14,384-liter)
Beaujolais wine barrels. Each of the four rooms is wood-paneled (duh) and has a toilet, shower, and TV.
The
cost of sleeping in a barrel is a little pricey... from € 111.90 per person (about $160), per night (for one night plus dinner). But if you're looking for the ultimate vino, hobbit-hole experience, this might be it. No word on whether or not their restaurant is BYOB.
Thanks to Treehugger for the tip!

Cool! That looks so cozy. The hotel Lindenwirt, near Frankfurt, Germany, also has wine barrels that you can sleep in:

When I first saw the picture of this article it is what attracted me to the whole article. I love how the hotel is fashined out of old 3,800 gallon wine barrels. I also love the way the rooms remind me of the books ,"Lord of the Rings" and "The Hobbit"
The Hobbit Experince is what i tought it was when i first cliced on th picture. It lets you see how the actors in "The Lord Of The Rings" lived. I love The Way The "Hobbit Hole" is set up it is just so cozy, i would love to go there and see it for myself some day.
