Hello from the University of Arizona's Research Labs in Tucson! We are excited to have science representatives from our global Genographic research centers as well as members from IBM, Applied Biosystems and the University of Arizona together for a seven day technical workshop. We have a full agenda planned and are excited to discuss our progress in the last year. We look forward to sharing information and hearing updates from each center.

Everyone arrived yesterday and we just jumped into our first session on the standardization of genotyping protocol. I already heard Wolfgang Haak, from our Ancient DNA center in Adelaide, talking with Oleg Balanovsky from our North Eurasia center about ideas for new projects together. We'd like to give a big thanks to Arizona Research Labs for hosting us for the week. Check back on the Genographica blog this week for more updates on the workshop and our progress. Back to the lab.....
