Many years ago I purchased the entire national geographic series on disk. At the time the Quicktime player was being used. However, when Quicktime went beyond version 2.0 (I think) the old version of National Geographic would no longer work ... the files created in versions prior to 2.0 were no longer support.

I just purchased the newer version of the entire series which uses cng files.

How long will these be supported?

How can I print out "Help" topics in "The Complete NG/1888 - to date" on 6 DVDs?

Hi,

The CNG 120 is quite a welcome product but still a little bit buggy and not very user friendly. It takes a while to get the hang of some procedure. Here are two of my problems:

1- Search seems to be working fairly well but after some 15+ searches the main screen goes blank and I have to close and restart CNG to continu.

2- Some Bookmarks (ex: 1988 Dec pages 888-889 [curiously identify "page 892" in the cngReadlist]) will go directly to the page while others (ex: 2005 Aug pages 50-51) will only bring the cover and I have to flip page by page to acces the bookmarked one. It is very inconsistent and I have yet to figure out a pattern. As expected it does not seem to be related to the change in page numbering (from volume to issue) in 1990.

I am running CNG from an external USB 250 Gb drive with Windows XP SP3, Pentium 4 3 GHz and 3 GB of RAM.

Jocelyn, we'll check on the copy texts feature you are asking about. What do you mean by "Full Screen mode"? We want to make sure we undertand exactly what you are asking.

Hi

I can see that we have the possibility to print articles and photographs, which is great.

But do you know if in a near future, we will be able to copy texts from the CNG?

Or maybe is there any other applications beside Adobe Air that can read your .CNG files and that will give us the possibility to copy the texts?

Also, a Full Screen mode would be a great feature to have.

Thanx
