I have a PowerBook G4 version10.4.11. As per the instruction that came with it, I double clicked on the DVD icon named CNGDisc 1 to start the installation, nothing happened. The set up wizard did not launch at all.
I installed the Adobe Air to see if it would launch the set up wizard, it still would not launch. What should I do?

I am having the same problem as Ian with my installation. I have a Mac Book Pro 2.53GHz Intel core 2 Duo w/ 4 GB of ram. o/s is 10.6.2.

Message comes up as,,, you cant open the application national geographic installer because the classic environment is no longer supported.

I'm not even getting an error message on my Mac. When I click on the OSX installer, nothing happens.

I tried the alternate installation, downloading the AIR document. Even though Adobe Air is installed, I'm unable to open the downloaded document.

For Christmas I received the CNG. I am unable to install om my Mac ( 2.16GHz Intel Core 2 Duo - 2GB RAM, OS X 10.6.2)

I simply get an error message which appears shortly into the process.

Please advise - I see nothing on the site.
