I bought the older 108 years version off of Ebay, but it says I need a registration code to install which I don't have.

Can someone help me?

Mike, are you using the install disk that came with the program? If not, try this:

1. Place the CD labeled "Install Disk" into your CD-ROM drive
2. Double-click on "CNG Install" CD icon on your desktop.
3. Double-Click on The Complete National Geographic Installer icon.
4. Follow the on-screen instructions until you get to the main
National Geographic Installer screen.
5. In the top left hand corner of the screen you will see a drop down
menu button labeled: Minimal Install
6. Click on the drop down arrow and select Uninstall.
7. Next, click on the uninstall button and follow the on-screen instructions.

How can I uninstall the old CD rom version. Sez the uninstaller won't work with Windows 7, 64 bit. Can you help me delete andor uninstall my old one? Thanks.

I, too, have the old version and it works on an old computer using Win 98. If you can get a copy of Win 95 or 98 I think you would be able to read it.

its from MAY 1923 issue, can you compare these 45DPI scan to the new ones? Are they 150~200DPI?

I'd like to view the page images outside of the Adobe AIR application, which has several bugs. (If you click the zoom button, mouse out and let the top control bar fade, then mouse over the top control panel again, the zoom controls aren't clickable)

I'd like to know how to get directly to the image files.

How can I run my 109 Year version of CNG on my new PC (Vista). The original setup doesn't work. I tried loading your new software from the Internet, but it doesn't seem to be able to read my 109 year CDs. Help!

I am not with NG but I think I can answer your questions.
1. I do not believe there is a mac version of the older product however the pages in that product are JPG images so you can just use a browser to view them. Of course advanced features will not be available but at least you can read them.
2. I have both versions and did not get any discount, nor do I believe one is available but there are many sources for this program and some are cheaper than buying on this site. Do a search.

Heinz, unfortunately, older versions of The Complete National Geographic released between 1997 and 2003 have not been supported or worked on newer technology in years. There is no upgrade option except to buy the new product.

I ask you for help: I would like to use my old version from 1997 "109 years complete NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC" on an iMac with Intel-Prozessor" an with Snow Leopard.
Is there any possibility? Or do you offer any Upgrade to newer Versions?
My 1997-version was a gift from my husband.

Thanks for commenting, Ajay. The free update, which activates the copy-to-hard drive functionality should be ready within the next week or so. Check back here for news on it's availability and/or just keep updating your software when prompted to after starting it up.
