Last weekend (February 17-19) at National Geographic Society, the All Roads Film Project and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences co-presented the fifth annual Global Glimpses program. This three-day program which screens the five Oscar®-nominated films in the Best Foreign Language Film category, was presented one week prior to the upcoming February 26 ABC live broadcast of the Academy Awards® Ceremony. The All Roads Global Glimpses event included a reception before or after each screening to give film buffs, aficionados, and newcomers alike the chance to share their insights and interpretations in an Academy-style party setting. Don't worry if you missed the program this year: here's a synopsis of each of the five nominees, compiled by National Geographic staff who attended.
