Jackson 2006 is winding down and what a year this has been for the All Roads Film Project!!

Best of all, we still have a ways to go...Next up: The Jackson Hole Wildlife Film Festival, November 30-December 2.  Directors Simon James and Sarah del Saronde will be on hand for a Q&A at screenings and will present special student screenings for local schools.  Check out the following link for a detailed description of the program.

The All Roads Film Project is coming to Santa Fe!  One of this year's highlights will be the "New Directions Symposium for Indidenous film and Digital photography." (Download ARSantaFeFlyer.pdf)

Join us on Tuesday, December 5 at the Institute of American Indian Arts for a full day of insightful discussion and learning with All Roads international Filmmakers, Advisory Board members, and film industry professionals who will offer tips about how to get indigenous film made and seen.  The digital film workshop will be an introductory level course on digital workflow, editing and archiving with All Roads Photography Program Awardee Larry McNeil and Reid Callanan from the Santa Fe workshops.

The 7th Annual imagineNative Film+Media Arts Festival has wrapped it's 2006 operations with another successful year.  Among this year's attendees were representatives from the All Roads Film Project who were "impressed by the contemporary take on the perspectives of Native Peoples lives." 

All Roads Board member, Alanis Obomsawin, picked up the Best Documentary award for her compelling portrayal of the history of the Abenaki people in Waban-Aki: People From Where the Sun Rises, which was described by the jury as "an example of masterful, elegant filmmaking."  Also special kudos to AR veteran Blackhorse Lowe, whose piece Minor Disturbance was honored as Best Music Video.
